3 day anti-body survey begins today in many districts of Odisha

Puri – 03.09.2011 – The district has started a serological survey and antibody test (immunity test) from today. It will last for three days. The survey is being conducted by the Regional Medical Research Center (RMRC) in Bhubaneswar. The survey is being considered important in view of the possible third wave of Covid 19. In 12 districts of the state, including Puri, samples will be collected for individuals and health workers of different ages.

The survey will be conducted today in wards 9, 20 and 27 of Puri municipality, Satpada of Krishnaprasad, Kapileswapur of Brahmagiri, Balpur and Gopar Erbang of Satyavadi and Suhanpur of Kakatpur, Berboi of Delang and Badmachpur of Nimapada on the 5th. For this purpose, samples will be collected from 400 people and hundreds of health workers of different ages. District Public Health Officer Dr Birja Shankar Rath has been appointed as the nodal officer. The RMRC includes Dr Debabrata Acharya, Dr Srikant Kanungo and Dr Hariram Chowdhury. Ashok Kumar Sahu, Coordinator of Asha Kumar, Santosh Kumar Mishra, APM, APM and Chief Health Officer are present on behalf of the District Chief Hospital.
