Meerut: According to authorities, three individuals were killed in an accident between a truck and a ‘bagghi’ (horse-drawn cart) on Saturday. The tragedy happened on Saturday when five individuals were coming from a wedding party on a ‘bagghi,’ which crashed with a speeding vehicle, according to police.SHO Inchauli police station Jitendra Kumar Dubey named the deceased as Sitaram (45), Taufiq (20), and Ahjaj (24), while Naved and Ravi were injured in the accident. According to police, the horse that was dragging the ‘bagghi’ was also killed in the accident. According to the SHO, the injured have been hospitalised, and the corpses of the deceased have been transported for postmortem examination.According to Dubey, Sitaram’s son Pradeep submitted a police report alleging that five persons, including his father, were returning from a wedding celebration on the ‘bagghi,’ which crashed with a fast vehicle. The vehicle has been impounded, and attempts are on to apprehend the truck driver, he added.
