31st Batch of fresher Nursing Students of Nazareth Hospital School of Nursing held

On Sunday, 7th February 2021, the Graduation Ceremony of the 27th Batch and the Lamp Lighting and Capping Ceremony Celebrations of the 31st Batch of fresher Nursing Students of Nazareth Hospital School of Nursing was held in the campus of the Nazareth Hospital School of Nursing.

This Ceremony was graced and blessed with the personal presence as the Chief Guest, by Hon’ble Dr. PrabhakarRai, Chief Medical Officer, Prayagraj Division. Dr. PrabhakarRai is not new to Allahabad and has previously served Allahabad in various capacities as Addl. CMO.

The function was presided over by Rev. Fr. Louis Mascarenhas the Administrator of Catholic Diocese of Allahabad and also the present Director of Nazareth Group of Institution. Rev. Fr. Reginald D’Souza, Principal St. Peter School, graced the occasion as Guest of Honor.

The program started as scheduled at 10:30 am with a prayer dance by students of Nazareth Hospital School of Nursing, this was followed by the formal Lamp Lighting Ceremony by the select dignitaries including the chief guest Dr. PrabhakarRai. Rev. Fr. Louis Mascarenhas, Rev. Fr. Reginald D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Vipin D’Souza (Administrator),Rev. Sr. Moncy(Matron) and Rev. Sr. Eugine(Principal Nazareth Hospital School of Nursing).

The Caps were blessed by Rev. Fr. Louis Mascarenhas and was followed by distribution of the Caps to the 31st fresher nursing students by Sr. Latha CSN. The Lamp Lighting Ceremony for the fresher Batch of Nursing Students was conducted by Sr. Rosini CSN, thereafter a Divine and professionalpledge was taken by the Graduated Students of the 27th Batch. Sr. Eugin, Principal of Nursing School in her addressappreciatedthe efforts of the teachers and the hard work done by the students this was followed by group dance of students.

The Chief Guest himself, being a Doctor by profession as MD Anesthesia, in his words of Wisdom, Advice and Guidance to the Studentsin his address, spoke briefly on the Noble Human, Divine & Holistic nature and care of the Nursing profession and services. Sincerity, Dedication, Compassion. Affection and Professional commitment are the hall marks of the nursing profession through which they not only mentally and physically heal a suffering person but also spiritually comforts the Human Soul in his physical body. Nurses are Gods Angel bestowed and ordained with his Blessings and Spirit to cure and heal the suffering people.

The Meritorious students were awarded by Rev. Fr. Reginald D’Souza. The Nightingale Award was given personally by the Chief Guest Dr. PrabhakarRai to MsJyoti&MsJeevanLatha this was followed by the Presidential address by Rev. Fr. Louis Mascarenhas and a group dance by the staff of the Nursing school, which was very much appreciated by the distinguished audience.

A vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Jyoti and was followed by the last Cake cutting Ceremony by the passing out Graduate students. The program concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem by all present.
