4 arrested after video of b’day bash in busy Noida road goes viral

Noida, July 3: Four young men were arrested for violating traffic laws after cutting a cake and igniting crackers on a busy road here as part of a birthday celebration, according to police authorities. According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Shakti Mohan Avasthy, the suspects were detained on Sunday night after supposed footage of the event appeared on social media. “The incident occurred on the Elevated Road between Saturday and Sunday night, within the Sector 24 police station limits. Four people were seen celebrating a birthday on the busy road in recordings of the event. The local police took notice of the situation and arrested them,” Avasthy explained.

The quartet’s Noida-registered Maruti Brezza automobile has also been confiscated, and additional legal actions have been begun against them under relevant provisions of the law, according to the officer. Lalit Sharma, Deepak Patel, Shekhar Chaudhary, and Tarun Sharma, all in their early twenties, were among those detained, according to authorities.
