Another gunner of Umesh Pal succumbs to bullet injuries at PGI Lucknow Death toll in Umesh Pal murder case rises to 3 Lucknow: Gunner Raghavendra Singh, who was injured in the Umesh Pal murder case, also died. His treatment was going on at PGI Lucknow. On Tuesday, the doctors revealed about the spread of infection in his body and eventually succumbed to injuries on Wednesday. After this, the death toll in the Umesh Pal murder case reached three. Umesh Pal and one of his gunner Sandeep Nishad died on the spot. Seriously injured Raghavendra was referred to PGI Lucknow. Injured constable Raghavendra was a resident of Korihar village of Lalganj area: Raghavendra’s father Ramsumer Singh, a resident of Korihar village of Lalganj area, was a constable in the police department, who died of illness. Raghavendra had got a job as a dependent of the deceased. The family consists of mother Aruna, sister Archana and brother Gyanendra. Raghavendra’s marriage is also fixed on May 5. In the incident in Prayagraj, the criminals shot at Raghavendra while attacking him with a bomb, due to which he was seriously injured. The referral was done from SRN Hospital: PGI is at a distance of 186 km from Swarooprani Nehru Hospital in Prayagraj. The ambulance carrying Raghavendra completed journey in two hours and 24 minutes. The ambulance ran at a speed of 86 km per hour from Nigohan border and reached PGI at 8.39 am after covering a distance of 30 km. however, all efforts to save his life turned futile and he died on Wednesday.
