Arvind Kejriwal takes oath as Delhi chief minister
New Delhi, Feb 16 (HS): Aam Admi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday took oath as Chief Minister of Delhi at the Ramlila Maidan. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal administered the oath of office and secrecy to the AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal amidst huge crowd present there to witness the event.
Kejriwal led AAP swept the Delhi assembly elections consecutively third time by winning 62 seats out of a total of 70 seats. Rest eight seats were secured by BJP while the congress party failed to secure even a single seat in the Delhi polls.
Manish Sisodia, who was the deputy chief minister of Delhi in AAP government’s previous term, also took oath as minister in Arvind Kejriwal’s cabinet.
The other leaders who took oath as Ministers include, Satyendra Jain from Shakur Basti, Gopal Rai from Babarpur, Kailash Gehlot from Najafgarh, Imran Hussain from Balli Maran and Rajendra Gautam from Seemapuri.
