Atharva’s innings made BPSC champion in the Prof. Anandi Prasad Bhatnagar Under-23 Cricket League

Prayagraj. With Atharva Prajapati’s half-century (88 runs, 89 balls, 12 fours, two sixes), Bhanu Pratap Singh Club defeated Chaudhary Naunihal Singh Cricket Club ‘A’ by three wickets and captured the title of Prof. Anandi Prasad Bhatnagar Under-23 Cricket League.

Winning the toss in the match played on Thursday at KP College ground, Chaudhary Naunihal Singh Club ‘A’ scored 199 runs for 6 wickets in 35 overs (Mayank Dubey 54, Shivansh Yadav 44, Brijendra Tripathi 27, Rohit Madhwar 21, Manu Raja 20 not out, Suvrat Prasad Tiwari 3/32). In reply, Bhanu Pratap Singh Club ‘A’ scored 200 runs for 7 wickets in 33.5 overs (Atharva Prajapati 88, Vibhav Kushwaha 40, Suvrat Prasad Tiwari 20, Sumit Pandey 2/18, Manu Raja 2/30, Mayank Dubey 2/47). Shishir Mehrotra and Hitesh Srivastava were the umpires and Khursheed Ahmad was the scorer in the match.

Before the match, in the morning, chief guest Dr. Sunil Verma and Dr. Anurag Verma got introduced to both the teams. Allahabad Cricket Association director Dr. Jully Ojha welcomed the chief guest. The program was conducted by director RP Bhatnagar. Someshwar Pandey, Mohammad Asif etc. were present on this occasion.
