AU organises outreach activities in Kotwa village
Prayagraj. On October 18, 2024, the Department of Education at the University of Allahabad, under the aegis of the IQAC cell, organised outreach activities in Kotwa village, Prayagraj. Faculty members and students from the M.Ed., M.A. (Education), and Ph.D. programs visited local primary and elementary schools to focus on school interventions.

During the visit, students learned about the history of the University of Allahabad, notable alumni, and alumni from Kotwa village. They were informed about the curricular and co-curricular activities offered by the Department of Education, with the aim of encouraging collaboration between the schools and the University for intervention and research programmes.

Workshops were conducted on menstrual hygiene for girls and drug abuse prevention for all elementary school students to raise awareness of health and social issues. Primary school students participated in activities addressing safety and healthcare concerns, including lessons on good touch and bad touch, as well as handwashing techniques.
The outreach activities included engaging and enjoyable activities for the students, fostering interaction with teachers and students that provided valuable insights into the educational challenges faced in rural contexts.
The Department expresses its sincere gratitude to the Honorable Vice Chancellor Madam for granting this valuable opportunity and for providing essential logistical support.
