BSF airlifts four bodies and three patients from nnow-bound Tangdhar sector

Srinagar. Border Security Force, On request of District Administration, Kupwara airlifted critical patients through BSF helicopter for treatment at higher medical Centre.

Tanghdar remains cut off from rest of the valley due to heavy snow accumulation at Sadhana Pass during winter season due to heavy snow fall.

Resultantly border population suffers due to lack of medical treatment. Apart from evacuation of patients, BSF chopper carried 04 mortal remains from Kupwara
to Tanghdar for their last rites, which could not be carried out for past five days due to heavy snow fall and closure of road.

As a border guarding force, BSF is not just protecting the LC, but working closely with civil administration in looking after welfare and emergency needs of border population.

Ashok Yadav, IPS, IG, BSF Kashmir Frontier reiterated that “We are always there to serve the people of Kashmir” and ensuring their well being is our first and foremost priority.
