Investigation ordered after filing a case against one executive engineer, 4 SDOs and 5 junior engineers

Officers accused of corruption and conspiracy to damage and embezzle government money

Lucknow, 20 March. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s crackdown on corruption continues. On Friday, the Chief Minister ordered to register a case against 10 officials and one firm in Jalaun district on charges of not functioning as per the standard under the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Scheme year 2005-06, corruption and conspiracy to damage and embezzle government money. Besides, orders have also been issued for its investigation.
According to the tweet by the Chief Minister’s Office, the CM has ordered an inquiry after registering cases against the then executive engineer, 4 SDOs and 5 junior engineers. Also, an investigation has been ordered against one firm accused of corruption and one of its officers.

The accused are:• Executive Engineer Subodh Kumar Jain• SDO Ramesh Chandra Jaiswal• SDO GN Mehrotra• SDO Babulal• SDO Amar Pal• Junior engineer Sohan Swaroop Katiyar• Junior engineer Rajiv Kumar Pushkar• Junior engineer Gokran Singh• Junior engineer Anil Kumar Singh• Junior engineer Rajveer Singh

Action to be taken
The Chief Minister has ordered to take action against the mentioned officials under Sections 420, 409, 120B of IPC and Sections 7, 13 (1) A of the Prevention of Corruption Act – 1988, and under Sections 409, 120 B of the IPC against Firm M/s IVRCL, Hyderabad and action under sections 408, 120B against company representative Bhimsen Yadav.
