‘City of Joy’ gets a New Police Station

Kolkata,’City of Joy’ gets a New Police Station:Minister Aroop Biswas inaurates new Police Station at Golf Green.Commissioner of Police Sri Soumen Mitra assured citizens all help. The newly constructed Golf Green Police Station was inaugurated on 22 February 2021 by Honourable Minister Shri Aroop Biswas, in presence of Shri Soumen Mitra Commissioner of Police,Kolkata,Senior Officers and Police personnel.Jadavpur Police Station had a large geographical area.To make policing convenient and citizen friendly,Golf Green Police Station has been created from a portion of Jadavpur Police Station.Cyber crime,rouge biking and other issues made this this welcome move necessary.Especially with many senior citizens living here whose children were not in Kolkata.The Police Commissioner Sri Soumen Mitra assured citizens of working together to ensure ease of living.Sri Mitra also requested citizens to immediately contact the Police whenever they feel it is necessary.
. Golf Green Police Station is the 80th Divisional Police Station of the city & the 9th functional Police Station under South Suburban Police Station of Kolkata Police.
