CM directs DMs, SPs to personally attend their CUG Nos

Lucknow: November 20, 2020. In order to make the administration accountable and more people friendly, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the District Magistrates (DMs) and Superintendent of Polices (SPs) to personally attend all the calls on their CUG numbers.

Surprise calls will also be made from the CM office on the CUG numbers of the officers to cross check their response and availability. The non compliance will invite action from the government, he warned.

It is to be mentioned that there were regular complaints regarding the DMs and SPs either not picking their CUG numbers or the calls were attended by their followers or supporting staff. The directions of the CM came in the light of this.

The CM has also instructed the officers to sit in their offices regularly rather than operating from their camp offices.
