Coronavirus Scare: SSLC examinations postponed

Bengaluru,22 March(HS): The Secondary School Leaving Certificate(SSLC) examinations conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board(KSSEEB) scheduled to begin from 27 March in the state have been postponed.
BS Yediyurappa, Chief Minister made this announcement to media persons here this morning and informed that even all other examinations for recruitment to the different state government positions and all forthcoming elections including local bodies have been postponed.
He thanked the people for positively responding to the voluntary Janata Curfew called upon by the Prime Minister. He appealed to the people living in the city not to rush to their native places out of fear.
The chief minister told that a special provision has been made at the state government-run Victoria hospital for 1,700 beds as a precaution to meet the challenges of treating the Coronavirus victims.
The borders of the state have been sealed while the war room has become operational from Balbrooyi government guest house. He allayed fears about the shortage of food grains and essential commodities while informing about provision to distribute two months ration from the fair price shops.
