Cow slaughter or its abuse will not be tolerated: Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that our Bankey Bihari Krishna became Radha-Krishna after serving cows, we will not allow these cows to be slaughtered and neither tolerate its abuse. This is our resolve. “We will protect and promote cows,” he said. He said that medicines and vaccines are being sent in every district to eradicate foot-and-mouth disease. All the cattle will undergo ear-tagging so that it is known that which animal has not received the medicine. To take care of the stray cows, our government is giving Rs. 900 every month for each cow.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing the Rangotsav programme at Radha Bihari Inter College located in Barsana, Mathura on Tuesday. During the event, he said that five thousand years ago, Lord Krishna and Radhe ji appeared here. Our ancestors cherished our rich tradition. One can have the vision of Banke Bihari Ji in every particle here. The whole world realizes the purity, sattvikta and Vaishno sentiment of Braj.

The Chief Minister said that when the BJP government was formed in Uttar Pradesh three years ago, the discussion started on what to do for culture and cultural order. There was talk of making the Braj region a pilgrimage. I said, let it be a pilgrimage, but also get government recognition for it. Seven sacred sites were built and the Braj Tirth Vikas Parishad was formed for its cultural and physical development.

The Chief Minister said that by the grace of God, all the tasks are being handled smoothly and it appears that the almighty has selected Prime Minister Narendra Modi and myself to solve all the issues pending since hundreds of years. We are also resolving all the issues. Three years ago, Deepotsav was organized on the occasion of Deepawali in Ayodhya, and the entire world was connected to it. It is the result of great devotion that 500-year- long pending issue was solved in a moment, he said.

The Chief Minister said that we have achieved unprecedented success in the cleanliness of the Ganga. In the next two years, we must attempt to make Yamuna as clean as the Ganga. These are not just rivers but our cultural heritage. We all have a motherly bond with these rivers. He further said that there will be no hindrance in any development work. By formulating a systematic action plan, we are working on finding a solution for salty water of ‘Braj’ region. In the coming time, the water here will become sweet. Along with reviving more and more ponds for water harvesting, new ponds are also being built.

CM visits Radharani and offers prayer

On the occasion of ‘Laddu Holi’ in Barsana, the Chief Minister also worshipped Radharani at Shreeji Temple and sought blessings. Along with this, the CM inaugurated the modern ‘Gau Hospital’ at Mataji cow shelter home. Later, the Chief Minister reached Vrindavan by helicopter where he held discussions with seers regarding ‘Ardhkumbh’. Then he left for Sri Krishna’s birthplace Mathura.
