Fire Tenders will sanitize the entire Indian state of Uttar Pradesh to stop the spread of COVID19
Lucknow, 8 April. Due to the sudden rise of the coronavirus infected people tension runs high in the state. With the tough decision taken by the Hon’ble Chief Minister and prompt action taken by the team 11 the situation of the spread of coronavirus is being expected to control within this weak end. The Yogi government is taking no chance, therefore, is aggressively taking all measures first to stop the community spread of the pandemic.

To sanitize the state and to kill the virus Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday flagged off fire tenders for 66 tehsils (administrative zone) of the state from his official residence, 5 Kalidas Marg. Chief Minister Yogi said that out of 350 tehsils of the state, half of them had no arrangement of fire tenders. In the last 3 years, while carrying out the task in a phased manner, only 130 tehsils were left in which there were no fire tenders.
The Chief Minister announced that the process of setting up fire tenders and their equipment in 66 such tehsils will be completed today. The remaining tehsils which will be left will also be provided with fire-fighting vehicles at different stages.

The Chief Minister said that this period for cleanliness and sanitization, for which all the people of Health Department, municipal bodies, gram panchayats were already working.
The Chief Minister said that around 10 days back, I had discussed it with the Director-General of Police and Additional Chief Secretary, Home, that if we can also use the fire brigade vehicles for sanitization process, then we can make every village completely free from the virus in a time-bound manner.
The Chief Minister thanked the fire department for taking this task forward in a time-bound manner and heartily thank all the officials associated with the home department.
He said, “I am happy to know that all the fire tenders of the state are getting connected with sanitization work.” Today, 66 new fire tenders with state-of-the-art equipment are being added with the fleet. He said that these fire tenders with state-of-the-art equipment will immediately begin the task of eradicating the virus through sanitization.
The Chief Minister said that in a battle against the Coronavirus, the Director-General of Police and Additional Chief Secretary Home, DG Fire and all the officials associated with this department did a commendable job. He said that besides being used for the protection of the common man from the outbreak of fire due to rising temperatures, these vehicles will be utilized wherever necessary for sanitization during and after lockdown to fight COVID-19.
