Girlup Arohi, Amity Law School Noida in association with Amity Law Foundation organises donation and distribution drive for flood affected people

Noida- The recent floods in the National Capital Region (NCR) of India have caused widespread devastation and displacement of thousands of people, especially those living in low-lying areas along the banks of the Yamuna and Hindon rivers. Around 25,000 people are affected directly or indirectly with these drastic changes. Keeping in the minds about the affected people’s needs, Girl up Aarohi, Amity Law School,Noida organised a distribution/donation drive near Amity University at Sector 126, Noida for the people who were dislocated due to the rising level of water in the National Capital Region (NCR) of India.

The donation drive, which took place on July 24, 2023, collected clothes, food, water, hygiene products and other essentials from the students and staff of Amity University. The volunteers then distributed the items to the flood victims who were sheltered in temporary camps set up by the government and NGOs.
The donation drive was a successful event and Dr. Sumitra Singh, Connor GirlUp Aarohi appreciated everyone who contributed generously and participated.
To make the differences in the lives of the affected people GirlUp Aarohi will keep giving their continuous efforts to ensure that the donated resources reach the intended recipients and serve their needs and rights.
Speaking about the distribution drive Pof(Dr) Aditya Tomer Additional Director and Joint Head, Amity Law School Noida congratulated the efforts of Girlup aarohi in their continuous striving for the cause of the society.
Today the distribution drive was led by faculty members Dr Sumitra Singh,Ms Kavita Sharma and the students namely Gurnimrat Kaur, Vaidehi Pandey, Shreya Chopra, Nishita Mahajan, Ananya Anant, Soumya Chopra, Asbah Khan, Anshu, Kumari, Apoorva Bhargava, Osho Gupta, Puneet Pathak, Utkarsh Gupta, Palak Agarwal, Shubhi Jain & Isha kale.
