Handed over of recovered trolley bag of Bonafide passenger’s by RPF Staff of Puri

On the night of 23/24.09.2021, while on duty Officer’s & Staff of Puri [ASI J.M.Sundray & others] were engaged for performing night station patrolling to prevent criminal activities against passengers, noticed one red colour trolley bag was kept on the bench of Platform No.08 in locked & unclaimed condition. After adopting security related formalities the above named RPF Officer brought the recovered trolley bag at RPF Post Puri for further hand over to it’s owner. During checking of recovered trolley bag found 04 No’s silk Sarees, 02 Pair of men garments, some imitation jewelleries, personal diary etc [approximate value Rs-30000/-] were kept inside the trolley bag. On verification of the personal diary, contact number of the concern Passenger could be find. Accordingly contact made with the concern Passenger [Chatu Lal Debnath, At- Raj Nagar, Dist- South Tripura [Tripura]. He further informed that, he came at Puri for lord Jagannath Darshan along with his wife and on the night of 23.09.2021, they boarded in train No.08470 [Puri- Shalimar] Express, Coach No.B-2, Seat No.41 & 44 vide PNR No.6455456574. He also requested to keep the recovered trolley bag till reaching at Puri. Today his relatives attended RPF Post Puri and the recovered trolley bag containing all the above items handed over to him with due verification. After received the same he appreciated the loyalty and dedicated act of RPF Staff.
