Prayagraj. On the second day of the three-day theatre festival organized by the North Central Zone Cultural Center, Alwar, Rajasthan, the theatre organization Swang Rang of Prayagraj presented “Humein to kuch chahiye hi nahi” written by Shiv Kumar Rai under the guidance of director Sachin Chandra. The play “Humein to kuch chahiye hi nahi” strikes a deep blow at the evil dowry prevalent in the society.

The evils have only changed their form; they are still present in the society, at some places more and at others a little less. Just as with time everything gets updated a little and comes in a new form in the society, one such evil is dowry, which is again spreading in the society like cancer with a new name and new form. With humour and satire, this play makes the audience laugh and at the same time, at times, the play also moved the audience emotionally. Sachin Chandra, Madan Kumar, Shibankar Roy, Vaishali Singh, Namrata Singh, Shivansh Dwivedi and Aarti Ji were present on the stage to act in the play. Light design and direction was by Harminder Sartaj and music direction was by Priyanshu Kushwaha and make-up was by Aarti Ji and costume design by Anuradha Srivastava. The staging was a successful presentation.
