International Islamic Calligraphy Exhibition Showcases Cultural Unity in Indonesia

A total of 22 artists from India, 42 artists from 36 other countries, and 72 artists from Indonesia making it a truly global event.

The Third International Exhibition of Islamic Calligraphy, titled ‘Power of Kaaba’ was held in Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia, through the efforts of Gori Yusuf Husen, an esteemed artist from Bharuch, Gujarat (India). The exhibition was organized to coincide with the celebration of Miladunnabi, Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) holy week.

The aim of the exhibition was to foster and enrich the artistic exchange between India and Indonesia, using art as a bridge to not only showcase the cultural heritage of both nations but also to introduce and connect their artists.

This event encouraged the sharing of experiences and ideas, further strengthening the bond between the art communities.

The success of this exhibition is attributed to the hard work of its curator Gori Yusuf Husen, who has played a pivotal role in bringing Islamic calligraphy and painting to the global stage.

His dedication to promoting this ancient art form and connecting artists from various countries has been widely recognized.

A total of 22 artists from India, 42 artists from 36 other countries, and 72 artists from Indonesia participated in the Calligraphy exhibition titled “Power of Kabah” which was 8 to 15 September making it a truly global event. M Arif Sikur, the director of the exhibition, welcomed the artists and praised Gori Yusuf Husen for his selfless contribution to advancing the world of Islamic calligraphy.
