Prayagraj June 23, 2023: Enthusiasm and fervor marked the International Yog Day celebrations at Jeevan Jyoti Hospital on June 23rd, Sunday. A special yoga and pranayam session was organized for hospital staff under the guidance of eminent IVF expert, Yog exponent and Director of Jeevan Jyoti Hospital Dr Vandana Bansal and Yog and Meditation Instructor and Patanjali Yog Samiti Jila Prabhari Shubham Singh, who taught some useful Asans and breathing exercise for relaxation of brain and body. On the occasion, Interventional Radiologist Dr Harshit Bansal, senior consultants Dr Alok Khare, Dr Ajay Gopal, Dr Mohammed Akhtar Ansari, Medical Superintendent Dr Mool Narayan Verma, Dr Anjula Sahai also highlighted the role of Yog in maintaining good health.

Dr Mool Narayan Verma introduced the guest. Addressing the gathering Dr Vandana Bansal said yoga is India’s gift to the world for healthy living. Yoga is a key to good health. It is a way of life. It is simply not an exercise. It is a lifestyle taught by the sages in ancient India. “It is a matter of great pride that the nation celebrates International Yog Day as a festival. There is so much enthusiasm and energy everywhere. Yog disciplines us. It helps us in getting rid of many habits that may lead to lifestyle-related diseases in the later stage of life. Yog infuses positive thinking into our lives. It energizes us. Yog is not only a medium to improve our immunity. It is more than that. Yog is beyond language, culture and religion. Every successful person has adopted Yog in their daily life.”Yogacharya Shubham Singh said the whole world now realize the power of Yog in making the body and mind healthy. Everyone should practice Yog and Pranayam regularly to experience its positive effect on our health. She conducted a stretching and yoga session for those who work long hours on the computer. She said these simple asanas are very effective in relaxing the body. It relaxes stiffness in the joints, she said and added that one should sync the body according to nature to prevent lifestyle related diseases. “The diet also needs to be improved as one age.”Dr Alok Khare said Yog helps us in realizing our full potential.
