Man booked for sharing obscene photos & videos of Class 10 student on social media

Ballia, 16 Mar : According to police, the owner of a coaching institute in UP’s Ballia district has been charged under the POCSO Act for allegedly taking obscene videos and photographs of a 14-year-old girl and sharing them on social media. They claimed that the Class 10 girl attended the institute. Following her father’s complaint, a complaint was filed at the Pakdi police station.

According to Pakdi police station in-charge Shatrughan Kumar, the father claims that the institute owner engaged in “obscene acts” with the girl while teaching her and made videos and photographs of it. The photographs and videos, according to Kumar, were later shared on Facebook. On the basis of the complaint, a case was filed against the institute owner at the Pakdi police station under relevant sections of the IPC as well as the POCSO and IT Act. Kumar added that the case is being investigated by the police.
