Manindra Nath Banerjee remembered on the martyrdom day by distributing water and cool drink

On the occasion of the 89th martyrdom day of Amar Shaheed Manindra Nath Banerjee, free sherbet and cold water were distributed from noon to 7 pm at Civil Lines Hanumat Niketan by Aagaaz Foundation, a social cultural organization of the city.

On this occasion, the secretary of the organization Sudeepa Mitra told that on June 20, 1934, Manindra Nath Banerjee tasted martyrdom in Fatehgarh Central Jail.

This event was organized in his memory. DSP Jitendra Banerjee, who got Rajendra Lahiri hanged of Kakori action, surrendered after being shot near Godaulia square of Varanasi. Veergati was achieved while fasting for 10 years in rigorous imprisonment.

This programme was done with the cooperation of social workers Uttam Kumar Banerjee, Nikhilesh Maurya, Prashant Verma, Sarit Seal, Ankit Pandey, Suresh Patel, Nidhi Verma etc., descendants of Manindra and grandson of Kranti Veer Mohit Kumar.
