Many who met singer Konika Kapoor test negative

Lucknow, March 21 (HS) There is an anti-climax to Bollywood singer Konika Kapoor’s story who had tested positive on Friday. Forty-five persons who had come in direct contact with her in the last few days tested negative for coronavirus on Saturday.
Among those who have tested negative are some UP government officials and political leaders of repute. A good many had gone on self-isolation.
Konika had gone to London and returned before Holi. She was present at several events in the state and outside on return. She was a star-attraction at all these programs and had come in contact with several VIPs including former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, UP health minister Jai Pratap Singh and MP Dushyant Singh.

Test reports of others are not known but UP Health Minister is reported to have no symptoms of Coronavirus. He had attended a birthday party on March 17 where she was also present.
That she has been infected with Coronavirus was infected by the singer herself in a tweet. “For the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19”, she said in her post.
“My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward. The contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway as well. I was scanned at the airport as per normal procedure 10 days ago when I came back home, the symptoms have developed only 4 days ago, “she had added.
The news about her positive test had spread-like a wildfire. Several stories related to the events were published on television and on the Web.
