Meerut’s Partapur metro station to be unique with two platforms and four tracks

Meerut, 30 April (HS): Meerut’s Partapur metro station will be a unique metro station with two platforms and four railway tracks. Only Meerut Metro train will stop at this station, which is being built under Meerut Metro. Therefore, the platform of this station is being prepared for three coaches as per the requirement of Meerut Metro train. Namo Bharat train will pass through the middle track of this station. Partapur Metro Station is an elevated station whose length is about 75 meters while it is about 36 meters wide and about 22 meters high. This metro station has now come to its original size and is now being prepared for the passengers. Two entry-exit gates are being built at this station. Also, installation of lift and escalator is in progress. For the convenience of passengers, parking will also be provided near the entry and exit gates at this station. At the same time, to ensure smooth flow of road traffic, service lanes are also being built through which passengers boarding the metro can reach the metro station. Partapur station is being prepared for local metro service in Meerut. This station will have three levels, ground, concourse and platform. The flooring work of this metro station is nearing completion and the technical rooms are ready. The process of installing various equipment is underway. Along with this, work is being done to install pre-fabricated roof for the roof of the station. With the operation of metro train from Partapur, the travel of the people living in the surrounding areas will become easier. If a passenger wants to reach Delhi from Partapur, he will be able to get Namo Bharat train from Meerut South. With the operation of metro train in Meerut, famous as the ‘Sports City’ of the country, the access of people living in the surrounding areas to Delhi-Ghaziabad metros will become easy and accessible. The first train set of Meerut Metro was ready some time ago and reached Duhai depot from Savli (Gujarat). At present, testing of Meerut Metro train is being done regularly. Trial run of Meerut Metro will be started soon. This will be the first time in the country that passengers will be able to use high-speed and metro like regional rail on a single system. Both these trains will operate on the same infrastructure.
