National Science Day celebrated in SHUATS
Shalom Institute of Health & Allied Sciences of SHUATS celebrated National Science Day on February 28. Theme of the event was ‘Women in Science’. Associate Dean Prof P Malairajan welcomed all the students and guests. Dean Shalom Institute of Health & Allied Sciences Dr Shekhar and University Chaplain Dr Richmond Samuel were also present in the event. Chief Guest of the event Dr Edison Samraj (Director Health Ministry, Southern Asia Division-SDAC, Bengaluru) shared his views on science. He expressed that mind, body and spirit should be integrated to serve the humankind. Oral presentation, play and extracurricular activities were organized on this occasion. Program was concluded with prize ceremony. Vote of thanks delivered by convener of the event Prof Amita Verma.
National Science Day celebrated every year February 28 to mark the discovery of Sir CV Raman and spread the awareness about science. First National Science Day was celebrated in 1987.
Mr Anup Masih, Dr Sonam Bhatia, Dr Pushpraj Gupta, Dr Neetu Soni, Dr Danish Ahmed, Dr Deepika Singh, Dr Vikas Kumar, Dr Uday Singh, Dr Dinesh Patel, Amol Agnihotri and students systemized the event. All the students enthusiastically participated in all the activities of the event.
