Agra: This Uttar Pradesh city is preparing for G20 delegates’ two-day stay, with eye-catching wall murals reflecting the culture of ‘Braj,’ vertical gardens, welcome signage, and artefacts made of waste items. The visit is set for Saturday and Sunday, according to a press statement. Speaking to reporters, District Magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal stated, “Various categories of delegates, including around 30 international delegates, 40 speakers, special invitees, and others, are slated to visit Agra beginning Friday. The Ministry of Women and Child Development Department streamlined the subject for the G-20 summit discussions, ‘Women empowerment,'” he added. “Crossings have been beautified and floral decoration, facade have been created to make the route lovely. On the path, government buildings have been lighted, and vertical gardens, as well as various colours of flags on poles, have been erected,” Chahal added. Because of the anticipated visit, the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort will be closed to the public. Agra Police Commissioner Dr Preetinder Singh stated that civil police officers, gazetted officials, and extra traffic cops will be deployed on the occasion. The Taj Mahal and Agra Fort will be closed to ordinary visitors from Sunrise to Sunset, according to Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Superintending Archaeologist Raj Kumar Patel.”Agra Fort will be closed on Saturday for general tourists for the visit of the representatives of the G20 meeting. The Taj Mahal will be closed to public visitors on Sunday,” he said.
