Noida: An Indian woman has filed a complaint against Hilton Hotels after she was reportedly robbed in its hotel in Madrid, Spain, where she was staying on a business trip. The action was brought in Plaza de Castilla, Spain, by Jasmeet Kaur, CEO of KBI Industries and a resident of Noida. Kaur posted about her incident on social media, claiming that robbers beat her and stole her possessions on January 27. She stated that the safety of women at luxury hotels is a worldwide problem. According to Kaur: “My security was jeopardised by the Hilton hotel.

The perpetrators were not prosecuted.” She has sought restitution for the psychological anguish and grief caused by the occurrence.”Nobody assisted me in that hour of distress,” she complained to Indian authorities.

The woman accused hotel management and the Indian Embassy in Spain of disregarding her complaints. She went on to say that she was stranded in a strange country with no money, and that after filing a FIR at the local police station in Madrid, no action was done against the perpetrators. Kaur further stated that she is in contact with a Spanish lawyer who is assisting her with the lawsuit. She stated: “The miscreants attacked me, threw me down, and stole my stuff inside the hotel lobby. The hotel staff did not assist me. I misplaced all of my crucial belongings. Everything was taken, including my passport.

“She stated, citing the financial loss caused by the loss of her passport: “I am facing a significant financial loss. For my business-related travel, things have come to a halt. The majority of my foreign appointments had to be rescheduled.”She claimed that her inability to travel worldwide by plane was affecting the work of more than 200 people at her company. Kaur claimed that she had lost crores of rupees as a result of the hotel’s major security flaws. She has written to the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of External Affairs about her emotional turmoil, misery, and humiliation in Spain.

She stated in the complaint that the hotel had no security precautions.”I had paid a large sum for my stay as per the hotel management’s request,” she continued. “If the hotel personnel and management had moved quickly, this may have been prevented. Women are not safe anywhere in the globe,” Kaur remarked. I respectfully request that the External Affairs Minister of India, Dr. Jaishankar, the Ministry of External Affairs, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and other officials assist me in this matter. “I will also transmit this security issue to the United Nations and other organisations of the UN dealing with women’s safety throughout the world. I’ll also write to UN authorities in India, including the UN Secretary-General and other top UN envoys.”
