Lucknow: According to Uttar Pradesh minister Dharampal Singh, the Animal Welfare Board of India has given guidelines to mark February 14 as ‘Gau Mata Samman Divas’ rather than Valentine’s Day.”The Animal Welfare Board of India has given an order to commemorate Gau Mata Samman Divas on February 14, 2023 instead of Valentine’s Day since cows are culturally and economically vital for us,” the minister of animal husbandry and dairying told reporters here. Cows are economically significant since zero-budget farming is dependent on cow manure and pee, according to him. According to the minister, no cattle rearer should leave the cows after milking since, in addition to cow’s milk, cow dung and urine are valuable to farmers. He claims that cow pee kills field pathogens and that cow manure improves organic and natural farming while also being environmentally benign.
