Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Saturday that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s twin engine government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is realising Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s ideal of welfare and development for those at the bottom of society.

At an event held at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Smritika Park in Lucknow to commemorate the 55th death anniversary of Pandit Upadhyaya, the pioneer of Antyodaya and Integral Humanism philosophy, the Chief Minister remarked that a man of such values was a victim of a plot in independent India. The Chief Minister also decorated the monument of Pandit Upadhyaya, a pioneer member of the Bharatiya Janata Dal.Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, according to CM Yogi, was a beacon of light who spoke about Antyodaya and who made the wellbeing of the individual sitting in the last row the focus of political thought. “His ideas is still having an impact today. The world is experiencing the strength of holistic humanism today,” he said.

The double-engine government led by PM Modi, according to CM Yogi, is translating Pandit Upadhyay’s goal of Antyodaya into ‘Rashtrodaya’ with complete devotion and honesty. “For the first time, every eligible person is receiving toilet, housing, and Ujjwala connection without regard to religion, geography, or language. Electricity is distributed without regard for race or gender. Rationing is provided to 80 crore individuals in the country. During the Corona pandemic, 220 crore doses of vaccine were distributed to people at no cost, according to CM Yogi. He further claimed that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay had predicted that “When we would come to power, Integral Humanism and Antyodaya would be visible in its actual shape. This was the insight of a political sage, which the BJP government has recognised.”The Chief Minister went on to say that the Uttar Pradesh government, inspired by Pandit Upadhyay and guided by PM Modi, is also undertaking numerous public welfare projects in the state.

“The government is working with dedication and honesty for public welfare, and jobs in Uttar Pradesh are being granted now only on merit, without any prejudice,” he added. He went on to say that during the Corona epidemic, when the entire globe was in turmoil, the double-engine government demonstrated a model of management and public welfare by controlling the pandemic while simultaneously saving people from malnutrition.”During the epidemic, the BJP provided the motto of ‘Seva Hi Sangathan,’ which means that serving the country and its people selflessly is the greatest value, inspired by great individuals like Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. This realisation in the political class instills political trust in the population of the country, and political parties are incapable of thinking for the welfare of people in the absence of such thinking,” CM Yogi added. BJP State President Bhupendra Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Union Minister Kaushal Kishore, MLC Mukesh Sharma, former minister Ashutosh Tandon, MLA Rajeshwar Singh, and many public leaders and BJP officials and activists were present on this occasion.
