Pratapgarh. Indian Oil Corporation has started Basic Safety Check campaign of domestic LPG in view of safety. Under this, the delivery man will go to the customers’ homes and check the cylinder, stove, gas pipe and regulator. The pipe will be replaced by the delivery man on completion of five years or when the rubber of the pipe gets worn out. In return he will have to pay only Rs 150. Whereas the market price of this rubber pipe is Rs 190. Santosh Kumar Dubey, director of Annapurna Indane Gas Agency located in Gandhinagar, Raniganj, has appealed for cooperation in the customer checking campaign. He said that if the pipe is five years old then it must be replaced. So that any unpleasant incident can be avoided. He suggested to get gas refill from LPG distributor only. Do not take the cylinder from any irresponsible person. If a customer’s mobile number is not updated then he can go to the agency and get his number updated.
