Prayagraj: Important meeting of Indian Industry Trade Board held with airport director

Prayagraj: Indian Industry Trade Board Metropolitan President Yogesh Goyal on one hand thanked the airport director for keeping the canceled flights running and on the other hand Urged to restart the previously closed flights. He said that flights have started only to those cities where flights were already running, whereas flights should be started from those cities from where Prayagraj does not have air connectivity. He also said that all the flights that have been stopped were always 85 to 90 full. He also said that since the last Kumbh, 14 flights had started from Prayagraj, now only 7 of them are operational. He said that like before, flights should be started again to the cities where the airway connectivity of Prayagraj has been broken so that tourism and other industries in Prayagraj can be promoted. Goyal said that due to lack of flight facilities in Prayagraj, the tourism business here is in a very bad condition. Due to lack of flights, tourists coming from India and abroad go to Varanasi, Ayodhya and other cities but they do not want to come to Prayagraj. Besides, the organization also focused the airport director’s attention on the lighting arrangements around the airport and said that good lighting arrangements should be made around the airport. General Secretary of the organization, Naveen Aggarwal said that the fares for flights from Prayagraj are also much higher than those from Varanasi; hence there is a need to reduce this too.

On this occasion, the Airport Director assured that flights will be started from many cities till Kumbh and complete arrangements will be made for beautification and lighting around the airport. He also said that the airport authority can request the aviation service providing companies to start the flights but the final decision whether to start the flights or not is taken by the aviation company itself. He informed that due to the malfunction in about 40 flights of Indigo, the number of flights from Prayagraj is less. In this meeting, Naveen Agarwal, Piyush Pandey, Vikas Vaish, Abhishek Kesharwani, Ranu Agarwal, Titu Gupta, Sandeep Karwaria, Ayush Gupta, Osaka Kamal, Rajneet Rajput etc. were present.
