Prayagraj: Officers sports and cultural meet of NC Rly kicks off

Prayagraj, 19 April (HS): Officer’s Sport and cultural meet of North Central Railway is being organized from 19.04.24 to 20.04.24. North Central Railway is one of the leading Railways in sports promotion and sportspersons from NCR are representing India in many disciplines. Sports and cultural meet was inaugurated on Friday by General Manager North Central Railway Ravinder Goyal and Shikha Goyal President, North Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization. General Manger administered pledge to all participants for playing with true sportsman sprit. In this sequence, he observed the march past of all the teams and declared the event open by releasing balloons.

In this 2 days event more than 250 participants from NCR headquarters, Agra, Jhansi and Prayagraj divisions will showcase their talent in various sports and cultural events. In sports cricket, table tennis, chess, Carrom, Box cricket, Lawn Tennis etc. are being organized while an array of athletic events like 100mts race, marathon sack race, Spoon race etc. are being held in different categories to suit all age categories and genders This event has a very rich cultural itinerary which includes instrumental, vocal, dance , skit , mimickery for different age groups in solo or group performance so as all participants get right stage to show their cultural talent.

This two day event is very popular among officers fraternity of North Central Railway and provide right opportunity among officers and families to develop positive bonding and helps in better team building.
