What is the matter?
Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Banerjee, the wife of Allahabad High Court Joint Registrar Hem Singh and who was formerly at the post of Joint Registrar in Allahabad High Court till December 2019, passed away on Friday, 9 October at the Phoenix Hospital. Hem Singh said “although we used to live separately, but we did not go for a divorce”.  Hem Singh further said that “the time of her death and informing us an hour after her death and when we arrived, there was no sign of the corpse, raises big questions and raises serious doubts“.
Hem Singh said that he was called by an unknown person at 9 am who told that his wife had died. He immediately rushed to the Phoenix Hospital in a hurry, where he was again told that the body had been taken to Daraganj Ghat for the last rites. When Hem Singh reached the Daraganj Ghat with 2 security personnel and two journalists, no one was aware of it there, after this he reached the electrical crematorium in Daraganj, there was no one there too. He also almost went to the Rasulabad Ghat of Teliarganj and the electrical crematorium there but no one knew about it, then Hem Singh’s apprehensions were further strengthened. Hem Singh has filed the same complaint with the National Commission for Backward Classes.
