Pratapgarh. Maurya Sabha will honor Rajendra Kumar Maurya, a student of the district who topped the entire division by securing 92 percent marks in the examination of ancient language Pali subject in high school this year. Along with this, a dozen other students who got first position will also be honored. All of them had appeared in the board examination under the leadership of the city’s renowned radiologist Dr. Shiv Murthy Lal Maurya. Shiv Murthy Lal and litterateur Dayaram Maurya Ratna also appeared for the Pali examination as students and passed with good marks.

Let us tell you that during the time of the great emperor Ashoka Maurya, the prevalent Pali language gradually went out of use. Even in schools this language is rarely taught. Dr. Shiv Murthy Lal Maurya took up the task of making Pali a common language again and contacted the people in the district and started a campaign to fill the form for Pali subject in high schools. His hard work bore fruit and when the results of the board exams were announced, it was found that about 150 students from the district had passed. Out of which Shiv Murti Lal’s staff Rajendra Maurya has brought glory to the district in the entire division by scoring 92 percent marks. The special thing was that all the people who appeared for the exam were from Pali. Most of them are working people and retired teachers. Many of Rajendra Maurya’s friends who have passed with good marks include Rahul Saroj, Rakesh Chandra Maurya. All these people had come to meet Dr. Shiv Murthy Lal at his clinic Raja Pratap Bahadur Park in the city. In the conversation, Shiv Murthy Lal said that it has been decided to honor the students who passed in Pali language on 27th May.
