SEEMA BHAWANI – ALL WOMEN BIKE RIDERS SET LIMCA WORLD RECORDS

New Delhi. The BSF Seema Bhawani All-Women Daredevil Motorcycle Team was formed in 2016 after pooling women riders from various Frontiers of BSF. The team is composed of highly trained and motivated BSF personnel who are selected through a rigorous selection process. The team has been participating in various events and has been receiving accolades for their daredevilry and precision riding.

Embodying the spirit of “Women Empowerment” in its true sense, the Mahila Praharis have earned many laurels since their inception, such as putting up a series of jaw-dropping stunts and precise maneuvers while riding their motorcycles on Rajpath on the occasion of Republic day celebrations in 2016 and 2022, said a BSF spokesman here on Thursday.

During the year 2022, under the aegis of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” and on the occasion of International Women’s day 23 Mar 2022, Seema Bhawani embarked on all women motorcycle rally “Shaurya Expedition – Empowerment Ride”, which was flagged off from India Gate, New Delhi and culminated in Kanyakumari and further to Chennai after covering more than 5280 kms.

In December 2022, members of “Seema Bhawani” set 07 Limca World Records at the Shaheed R K Wadhwa Parade ground, 25 Bn BSF, Chawla, Delhi.

On 24 Dec 22, team captain of Seema Bhawani, Mahila/Insp Himanshu Sirohi, rode Royal Enfield 350 CC bike while standing on the side bracket of the bike for 06 Hrs 03 Mins 03 Secs, covering a total of 178 Kms.

On 26 Dec 22, Mahila/Ct Satabdi Dhar rode the bike while standing on 09’ 06” ladder for 02 Hrs 33 Mins 44 Secs covering a distance of 78.6 Kms.

On 26 Dec 22, Mahila/Ct Usha Devi performed mobile PT while riding the bike for 02 Hrs 26 Mins 21 Secs covering a total distance of 67.1 Kms.

On 27 Dec 22, Insp Himanshu Sirohi along 38 members of “Seema Bhawani” rode on 09 Royal Enfield 350 CC Bikes in Human pyramid formation for 02 mins 10 Secs, covering a distance of 1.3 kms.

On 27 Dec 22, Mahila/Ct Anupam Kumari did side riding on Royal Enfield 350 CC bike for 01 Hr 11 Mins 38 Secs, covering a distance of 33.3 Kms.

On 28 dec 22, Mahila/Ct Rajwinder Kaur did Back Riding on Royal Enfield 350 CC bike for 01 Hr 02 Mins 55 Secs, covering a distance of 32.3 kms.

On 29 Dec 22, Mahila/Ct Sumita Sikdar rode Royal Enfield 350 CC bike while sitting on chair mounted on the bike for 03 Hrs 06 Mins 58 Secs, covering a distance of 68.4 Kms.
