SHUATS observed tree plantation in the name of mother

Prayagraj: A plantation drive was observed at SHUATS campus under the campaign of ‘Plant a Tree in the Name of Mother’ ( Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam). The chief guest of the program was Dr.Manju Singh, OSD & SLO, Higher Education dept. NSS cell, Govt. of UP and guest of honour was Mr. Samardeep Saxena, Youth Officer, Regional Directorate of NSS, Lucknow. Dr. Dipak Kumar Bose, Coordinator, NSS SHUATS welcomed the chief guest and guest of honour presenting bouquet and shawl. 

Dr. Manju Singh planted a tree and appealed to one and all to plant a tree sampling on their every birthday in the name of their respective mother. Dr. Samardeep Saxena said that people across the world have been facing the impacts of global warming, planting trees is the most effective way to limit it. Mr. Satyam Kesari, NSS Assistant Programme Coordinator given thanks to all the dignitaries and people present in the plantation drive. NSS Programme Officers Dr. Satendra Nath, Dr. Hira Bose, Dr. Anisha Verma, Dr.Jyotsana Jaiswal, Dr. Bhavana Singh Ghosh, Mr. Anup Masih, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Maurya, Dr. Anoorag Tayde, Mr. Bipin Kumar Singh and so many NSS volunteers were present in the programme.
