Three days int. conference CONIAPS-XXVI concluded at SHUATS
Prayagraj: The three Days International Conference “CONIAPS-XXVI” which was organized by the Department of Molecular and Cellular Engineering, Jacob Institute of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj, in collaboration with International Academy of Physical Sciences, Prayagraj, INDIA and Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala was concluded on Sunday.
On third day of conference, Prof. P.W. Ramteke, Ex-Dean, Post graduate studies, SHUATS, chair the third and final session of conference, which included four invited lectures. First lecture was delivered by Dr. Dhruv Kumar, Associate Professor, Amity Institute of Molecular Medicine & Stem Cell Research, ,Amity University, India, on understanding the signaling regulation(s) and mutational heterogeneity in cancer and cancer stem cells. He emphasized on important aspect in cancer metabolism and interdependence of autophagy in the survival and progression of cancer cells.
Second lecture was delivered by Prof. Joost Andre, Faculty of Bioscience and Aquaculture, Nord University, Norway, on Landscape genomics: from understanding adaptive potential to biodiversity conservation and natural resource management. He presented an overview, how they support biodiversity conservation and natural resource management. Lack of understanding of these issues has triggered the development of landscape genomics as a tool to quantify shared and unique adaptive responses across species within large and ecologically diverse landscapes. He presented an overview of these developments, and illustrate how they support biodiversity conservation and natural resource management.

Third and final, lecture was delivered by Dr. Arnab Bhattacharjee, Associate Professor, School of Computational and Integrative Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He presented his talk on How Protein Travels on DNA Track? He discuss the physical basis of such fast and accurate target search mechanism of DNA binding proteins on both single- and double-stranded DNA track.
After the invited talk, oral presentation was presented by researchers and student from across the globe on the conference focal theme.
In valedictory function, Dr. Paragti Misra, Co-organising secretary, CONIAPS, presented Technical report highlighting the various sessions of conference. Dr. Vijay Tripathi presented the vote of thanks, expressing his gratitude towards his team. The awards in oral presentation category, was awarded to Mr. Jaidev sharma and team, from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana, and Ms. Sweeta Manas and team from ,Faculty of Basic Sciences, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu ,J&K. Prof. Dr. ir. Johnathan A. Lal, Prof. Dr. Kapil Lawrence, Prof. Dr. Rajiv kant, congratulates the students. The conference was concluded through prayer, by Dr. Eapen P. Koshy.
