Mercury has been hovering around 38 to 40 degrees Celsius

Kannauj, 30 April (HS): With temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius, a school in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj has transformed a classroom into a swimming pool to help kids cope with the searing heat. The measure was taken after many youngsters were forced to stay at home due to a heat wave that smashed temperature records.

Several elementary school pupils in Mahsaunapur village may be seen playing in an artificial swimming pool in the classroom that resembled a two-foot water tank. For the previous two days, the mercury has been hovering around 38 to 40 degrees Celsius. According to school head Vaibhav Rajput, this has significantly reduced the number of pupils enrolled.

However, after the school’s classroom was filled with water, students began to arrive. They are now studying and swimming to get away from the heat, according to Rajput, who is known for his unique ideas.
