Truck overturns on a van kills 1 and injures 7 others

Sitapur: A sugarcane-laden truck collided with a vehicle here on Wednesday, killing a teenager and injuring seven others, authorities said. The tragedy occurred as the truck was on its way from Sidhauli to a sugar factory. According to Additional Superintendent of Police NP Singh, the truck driver lost control after a tyre broke and the vehicle overturned on a passing van. The deceased has been identified as Anil Kumar (17), he added, adding that the injured are in stable condition.
