U.P. Cabinet Minister and the Mayor Grace The Annual Function at Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir

Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir marked the celebration of its Annual Function on 21st December 2022 , with utmost vibrance and integrity. The theme for the year’s Annual Function was ‘Dawn of a New Beginning’ , ushering in a new hope , a new warmth and new frontiers in the ongoing educational journey of the school. The program was attended by many dignitaries of the city , esteemed educators and the parents of the participant students.

Shri Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi , the Cabinet Minister , Uttar Pradesh Government for Industrial Government, Export Promotion , NRI , Investment Promotion graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour was the Mayor of Prayagraj , Mrs. Abhilasha Gupta Nandi.

The program commenced with the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour being given the Guard of Honour by the NCC Girls of the school . The School Choir sang the Saraswati Vandana to invoke the goddess’ blessings onto the gathering with the Lighting of the Lamp ceremony. The initiation ritualistic ceremonies included an ‘Invocation’ though the Hanuman Stuti.

The Honorary Secretary of the MPVM Samiti , Dr. Krishna Gupta extended the warmest welcome to the esteemed guests and the entire gathering with her address. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Shri Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi and Smt. Abhilasha Gupta Nandi for accepting the invitation and taking out time from their busy schedules.

The welcome note by Dr.Krishna Gupta threw light upon the exceptional works , contribution at the social and political upfront and the achievements of the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour , at length and that how much the city has progressed under such hard-working and dedicated leaders .
The program commenced with the offering of ‘Shraddha Suman’ to the founder president Late Shri Lokmani Lalji and his vision through a powerpoint and poetic presentation. To encompass the diversity of the cherished attributes exhibited by the students of MPVM , the function had performances from a spectrum of a variety of genres.

The tiny toddlers of Classes I , II and III , presented a dance-drama on the theme ‘Hues of Nature’ wherein they gave the most important message to the gathering to act responsibly towards Mother Nature. The awareness was followed by yet another integral incorporation that needs to be done by all modern humans , that of striving to create a ‘Symphony – Physical and Universal Melody’ through the practise of Yoga . Instilling the fun and fitness of the energetic exercise routines that should be added to our life , the performers of Classes IV and V , set up the stage ablaze with their power-packed performance that made almost all spectators tap their feet too with the ‘Champ’s Feet’. The students of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan , lightened the ‘Gyan ke Deep’ with their beautiful performance, giving the message that talent cannot be bounded by limitations. A Hindi play ‘Manthan’ was performed for the gathering , giving an introspective reflection of the prevalant morphosing cultural values , ethos and traditions that are a part of the modern Indian society.

The melodious ‘Sadhbhavna’ song overwhelmed the audience with the perfect tunes. The English Play ‘The Necklace’ give an insight to all onlookers , as to how one’s greed leads to their downfall , and that the art of contentment and self-satisfaction is no piece of cake , but should surely be strived for. The performance of the women from the Prarambhik Mahila Swavlamban Kendra gave the message of women empowerment and its importance for today’s society. ‘The Folk Mosaic’ showcased India’s cultural splendor and represented Indian artistic expression through the colourful and vibrant folk dance performances .

The cultural extravaganza culminated with unstoppable rhythm of ‘The Electrics’ who took the audience to dizzying heights of musical madness.The compering done by Madhulika Bhargava , Ishita Adlakha ( 11 A ) and Arnav Arya (9A) captivated the audience throughout and added on to the spark of the entire program.
Shri Ravindra Gupta , Treasurer of MPVM Samiti and the Honorary Secretary Dr. Krishna Gupta honoured the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour by presenting tokens of gratitude and the Principal of MPVM , Mrs. Alpona Dey, read out a Citation presented to the most honoured dignitaries of the gathering.

The Annual Magazine of the Prarambhik Mahila Swavlamban Kendra ‘Aparajita’ was released by the esteemed guests.
The Chief Guest , Shri Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi ( Cabinet Minister in the State Government) in his speech reinstated the importance of always respecting and remembering our teachers. He was highly appreciative of the standard of education that the institution has been imparting to the young children of the city , down for more than three decades now. He overwhelming stated MPVM to be counted as one of the best schools of Prayagraj , being a true temple of learning that prepares its students not just for competitive career orientation , but becoming humans of character and integrity and responsible citizens who are contributing to the development of the Indian society at large. The efforts of the management ,staff and students was highly appreciated .

The Guest of Honour , Smt. Abhilasha Gupta Nandi congratulated the students studying in an institution like MPVM , where values and culture is given such importance.

She inspired all students to dream big and strive towards achieving all that they desire . The social initiatives of the management of MPVM were also appreciated. The Chief Guest happily stated the fact that the city , state and the nation have speedily gained worldwide recognition and fame under the leadership of the most enigmatic leaders , the Prime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh , Yogi Adityanath .

The Annual Function concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Principal of MPVM, Mrs. Alpona Dey followed by the School Song sung by the school choir. The formal culmination to the gathering was marked by the National Anthem. The day ended with the guests and parents appreciating the mesmerizing efforts of the MPVM family .
