VBPS Champion, NFA Runner Up in “Goal” U19 Football Competition

Prayagraj: VBPS emerged as Winners of “Goal” football competition which was played under the aegis of Northern Football Academy. In the final match of Under-19 boys category today at the football field of Vishnu Bhagwan Public School, Jhalwa, Vishnu Bhagwan School Boys Jhalwa defeated Northern Football Academy in an exciting final match with the help of sudden death by 4 -3.

According to the Head Coach of the academy, Indranil Ghosh, both the teams remained tied at 1-1 throughout the match. The first goal of the match was scored by Northern’s Vedant Tripathi from a pass of Adarsh in the second half of the game, while Vishnu Bhagwan’s Kundan Singh scored the goal. The score was tied at 1-1.

Even in the tiebreaker, the score of both the teams was 3-3, after which they had to resort to sudden death in which VBPS won. Kundan Singh, Shivam, Shubhankar, Karthik scored goals for the winning team while Harshit Ojha, Shivam Singh, Aditya Raj scored goals for the runner-up team.

Coach Indranil Ghosh presided the program and awarded the winners and runners-up trophies to both the teams & individual awards to the players. VBPS Director Abhishek Tiwari & Principal Dinesh Kumar Srivastava congratulated the team.
