Kolkata, March 1: Yesterday, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary was addressing a gathering organized by the CPI-M and the Congress alliance on Sunday at the Brigade Parade ground in Kolkata. He attacked the BJP and the Trinamool Congress fiercely. Adhir Ranjan said that those who were considering this election as a battle of Trinamool Congress vs BJP, their eyes will be glazed over the crowd gathered in this meeting. Now the United Front will rule not the Trinamool or BJP. He said that this is just a sample, the government is yet to change. The BJP’s growing move in Bengal and Trinamool misrule will have to be stopped. Chief Minister, see the strength of the front.

On Sunday, Abbas Siddiqui of the ISF said that wherever the Left and the Sharik Dal will field candidates, forgetting the old history, they will defeat Mamata Banerjee, the BJP government and the B team of the BJP government. He said that he has come to participate, he has not come to seek alms from anyone. He will take away his authority. He claimed that the Left Front left 30 seats for the ISF. His workers will support the Left Front candidates. Siddiqui said that if this alliance had taken place earlier, the brigade would have been more crowded on the field. He said that we will interfere in Bengal and the sister will be eliminated from the state.

It was about time the CPI-M and the Congress makes a strong stand against the Trinamool and the BJP in front of a huge crowd of people brought privately from all parts of  West Bengal. For the CMI-M and the Congress, it is now or never. They have to save their traditional vote bank.

The Alliance of the CMI-M and Congress raises some doubts on how well they are prepared for the election though. The Congress with whomsoever had an alliance in other states has been reduced to a negligible figure. As of now, the Congress has no ideology to represent whereas the CMI-M has a strong ideology and it should be clear in the minds of the voters of West Bengal. It was only the high level of corruption and distancing themselves from the basic needs of the voter that led to their downfall in West Bengal. On the other part, the CMI-M having an alliance with the Indian Front Secular (ISF) will definitely weaken the Trinamool. But on the other hand, will the non-Muslim voters of West Bengal accept Abbas Siddiqui as he was known to spread venom against them by spreading hate speech and encouraging Muslims to spread the Coronavirus among the Hindu people. As for Congress, Rahul Gandhi will keep away from the election rallies in West Bengal.
