“Workshop on Diamond, Simulants and Gem Characterization- Techniques and Training” organised by AU

Prayagraj. On 14 September the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences and the National Center of Experimental Mineralogy and Petrology (NCEMP), University of Allahabad organised a day long Workshop under the aegis of IQAC, University of Allahabad on “Workshop on Diamond, Simulants and Gem Characterization- Techniques and Training” comprising 20 select graduate and post-graduate students to promote skill and entrepreneurship development.

More than 100s of diamonds (natural and faceted), simulants and gemstones were analyzed by the participants using sophisticated gemmological instruments. Dr. M.M. Dwivedi, NCEMP, Mr. A.K. Singh, Mr. S.Dwivedi and Prof. J.K. Pati were the resource persons. The participants were distributed Certificate of Participation at the end.
