2 arrested in UP for persuading others to convert Under the guise of healing them of their illness

Kaushambi: According to authorities, two individuals were detained on Tuesday for allegedly persuading people to convert to Christianity under the guise of healing them of their illness. Superintendent of Police Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said Gendalal and Hiralal were detained on Monday night in the Saini area for allegedly attempting to convert persons in Ghumai village. According to police, a FIR has been filed against the suspects under the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, and they have been imprisoned. A thorough investigation is currently underway, they noted.
