BJP govt in UP failed to initiate new projects: Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow: On the eve of the Global Investors Summit in Lucknow, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav slammed the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, claiming it had failed to launch any new projects during its six-year tenure. In a statement, he said that the BJP government is highlighting projects undertaken by the previous Samajwadi Party government during the summit. “The state government has reactivated the fountains and lighting in Old Lucknow. Janeshwar Mishra Park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The riverfront is being beautified,” he stated. The Samajwadi Party government built Janeshwar Mishra Park and the Gomti riverfront. The statement also claimed that a solar facility opened by the former president had been closed owing to a lack of funds.”In the absence of attention, the JP International Centre in Lucknow is being ruined. The facilities may have been utilised to organise investor summit sessions,” the statement said. The president of the Samajwadi Party claimed that the government spent crores of rupees to gain accolades and that it intends to recoup the money from the taxpayers. “The BJP government has raised bus fares by 24% to recuperate the costs of the investors meeting from people’s purses,” he claimed.”The BJP is the rich’s ally, and it is striving to shift the weight of its corruption on the poor people,” he claimed. On Sunday, the three-day Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit-2023 comes to an end.
