Kanpur man killed in brawl over serving hot food

Kanpur: According to authorities, a cameraperson for a prominent Hindi news channel died following an alleged scuffle with catering personnel at a wedding.

The event occurred on late Monday night at Rahmatpur village, which is located in the Bilhaur police station region of this Uttar Pradesh district.The videographer, identified as Swatantra Kushwaha alias Muni (39), a native of Rawatpur village, had a scuffle with the catering staff over supplying hot food, according to Billhaur Station House Officer (SHO) Surendra Singh.
According to early findings, the catering crew fought with Kushwaha, who fell to the ground and suffered a head injury. He was immediately transferred to Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) hospital, where he died, according to the SHO.
The autopsy was undertaken to determine the exact cause of death, but the police have yet to receive the report’s conclusions, he added. Billhaur Police have filed a FIR on murder accusations against unnamed individuals, and attempts are being made to make arrests as soon as possible. According to him, an investigation has been initiated, and at least six individuals, who entered into brawl with Kushwaha, have been detained. “We’re also hunting for CCTV cameras in the neighbourhood to gather footage that might assist us break the case,” the SHO continued.
