TN Man turns hero at 97 after defeating Covid-19

Chennai, June 13: Tamil Nadu had a worth noting development with regards to COVID-19. A 97 year old had made a spectacular victory over coronavirus infection. 
Krishna Murthi, Who is 3 years shy to hit century, was admitted into Kauvery Hospital on 30 May as he tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a statement by the hospital Krishna Murthi had fever, cough and also breathlessness. The elderly person also had comorbidities like hypertension and heart disease.
After a duration of six days, his condition improved, he began walking and talking, said the doctors. There was a good feeling as he went home. 
Doctors said no experimental drugs were given, he received only supportive treatment. The condition moved towards betterment. The food consumption also witnessed improvement, though it was low initially.
His treatment was successful in a private hospital in Chennai, and he left the hospital premises amidst thunderous applauds. There is another special point in this regard.
With this recovery, Krishna Murthi has become the second oldest survivor of COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu. The recovery of this elderly person is expected to give courage to many others.
It is worth recollecting that a 95 year old woman had also recovered from Covid-19 in April soon after she underwent treatment at Government Medical College Hospital in Karur. 
Also, it is worth remembering that a 106 year old man from Delhi defeated virus. This person is said to be the oldest in world to have won the battle against COVID-19.
