17.1 lakh patients treated so far in Mukhyamantri Arogya Mela
Four such events have been organized in the state so far, patients are getting treatment near their homes

12345 serious patients referred to major hospitals for treatment
23 February, Lucknow. Mukhyamantri Arogya Mela started by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to take care of the health of the Uttar Pradesh citizens, is showing good results. After seeing the number of patients coming to the health fair, it is clear that this fair which was started with an aim to provide health facilities to every person, is proving to be effective. A total of 17.1 lakh patients have been benefited in the four health fairs held across the state so far, while more than 55 thousand serious patients have been referred to major hospitals.

This health fair is being held every Sunday at more than 4200 primary health centers of the state. In this sequence, Chief Minister Yogi inaugurated the health fair organized at Surya Kund in Darshan Nagar of Ayodhya today. In a day, 5.02 lakh patients (1.7 lakh men, 2.4 lakh women, and 0.9 lakh children) were benefited in the fourth Arogya Mela held in the state.
Total of 12345 serious patients were referred to large hospitals for treatment at the health fair. During the fair, 36439 golden cards were distributed. During this period, a total of 10741 doctors, 41524 paramedical staff and 20113 Anganwadi workers rendered their services. In the four health fairs held so far, 1.31 lakh gold cards have been made.


To mention, Chief Minister Yogi started the ‘Mukhyamantri Arogya Mela’ on February 2, to prevent and control diseases and to identify incurable diseases in their early stages. This initiative has the support of Department of Medical and Health along with Medical Education, Women and Child Development and Nutrition Department, and Panchayati Raj Department as well as Indian Medical Association. In these fairs, all the facilities of treatment are being provided to the patients at the same place along with examining the diseases.
