Breath analyzer test banned at four airports in Kerala
New Delhi, Feb 10 (HS): In view of the havoc of the Coronavirus, the aviation regulator Director General of Civil Aviation has banned the pre-flight breath analyzer test for crew members at four airports in Kerala for 15 days. Through the breath analyzer test, it is ascertained whether a person has drunk or not. In such a situation, the DGCA has decided to stop the virus from spreading. However, the post breath analyzer test will continue.
In view of the growing threat of Corona, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has banned the Pre-Flight Breath Analyzer test for crew members of flights flying from four airports in Kerala. “Breath analyzer test required for crew members of flights flying from Kerala for the next 15 days have been banned- said official.”
He said that the post-flight breath analyzer test of crew members of all flights flying out of Calicut, Kannur, Trivandrum and Cochin airports in Kerala will definitely be there in the cities they will reach. Three confirmed cases have been reported in Kerala so far. The three students who have confirmed their corona test have all come from China to India. The DGCA also said that foreigners who have gone to China on or after January 15 will not be allowed to come to India.
