CJM issues warrant against SP and three others

Chapra/Gopalganj,22 February,2020 (HS)Gopalganj chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Chandra Mani  Kumar today issued warrant against ex Gopalganj SP and three other officials and has directed the DGP to get it executed. 
Vinay Kumar Rai of Sareya ward 4 under town police station had filed a case against those officers in 2017. CJM court had issued notices  to those officials and some of them had gone before Patna High court for relief. But Patna High court did not provide any relief and then warrant was issued against those officials.
 During Durga Puja in 2016, two parties had quarreled during immersion of idol and the then SP Ravi Ranjan Kumar, along with,town SHO Santosh Kumar, Manjha SHO Ram Sevak Ravat, Muhammadpur SHO Munna Kumar and SI Navin Kumar and police force had entered into the house of Vinay Kumar Rai and allegedly beat family members took gold rings and chain. Police also arrested Vinay and his brother Pankaj Kumar and took them to far off Sidhwaliya police station and used third degree. They were sent to jail afterwards.After coming out of jail on 16 May 2017,Vinay Rai had lodged the case.
